work-life balance

Time devoted by an individual to their work in relation to the time devoted to non-work activities. Companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of employees maintaining a healthy work-life balance, allowing them to devote more time to family life at the expense of work. Research has suggested that striking the right work-life balance leads to a more motivated, less stressed workforce, and reduces burnout.

Work life balance is as simple as being able to balance the demands of work with your personal life.
The research found only 15% of respondents take advantage of the work life benefits offered by their employer, while over three-quarters claimed that their organisation did not have any work life balance policy in place or that they were unaware of its existence.
