Time devoted by an individual to their work in relation to the time devoted to non-work activities. Companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of employees maintaining a healthy work-life balance, allowing them to devote more time to family life at the expense of work. Research has suggested that striking the right work-life balance leads to a more motivated, less stressed workforce, and reduces burnout.

what does work-life balance really mean How to balance work life and personal life ?
The talk about work-life balance probably surfaced as early as the 1970s and Singapore firms were introduced to the phrase in the late 1990s when the Health Promotion Board and Ministry of Manpower began to help and support organisations in work-life strategies, programmes, and funding.
With the demands on today's families in mind, I am pleased to celebrate this year's winners of the Governor's Work-Life Balance Awards.
