Sport involving snorkelling two lengths of a 55-metre/60-yard trench cut into a dense peat bog. The world championships are held each year at Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales.

The world bog snorkelling championships have been held in Wales since 1985.
The 2007 world champion was Joanne Pitchforth, from Heckmondwike, who was unable to hold on to her world title this year and was beaten by Laura at the World Bog Snorkelling Championship 2009 at Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales at the weekend.
