World Meteorological Organization

Agency, part of the United Nations since 1950, that promotes the international exchange of weather information through the establishment of a worldwide network of meteorological stations. It was founded as the International Meteorological Organization in 1873 and its headquarters are now in Geneva, Switzerland.
