Village in West Sussex, southeast England, near Crawley; population (2001) 9,900. The large, cross-shaped Anglo-Saxon church of St Nicholas, built about 1030–50, has an arch where the nave meets the chancel, and a 13th-century font.

Town in Cook County, northeast Illinois; population (1990) 11,200. It is situated on the Calumet Sag Channel, and is a residential suburb, 23 km/14 mi southwest of Chicago.
