Wu Tao-tzu

Wu Tao-tzu (c. 680–c. 740)

Chinese painter, a native of Yang-ti, Honan. He is known for his murals in Buddhist and Taoist temples. He is considered the greatest master of the T'ang Dynasty and one of the greatest of all Chinese artists, though his work can only be estimated by copies, as none of his work survives.
