X Ltd v. Morgan Grampian Ltd

    0.06 sec.

X Ltd v. Morgan Grampian Ltd

1990 case concerning the disclosure of confidential information given to a journalist which the defendants wanted in order to identify the source of the leak. Unlike previous disclosure of source cases, the leak did not concern any criminal activity or matter of national security but rather details of the company's plans for raising additional working capital. The House of Lords held that disclosure was necessary in the interests of justice.
