Yana

River in the Republic of Sakha, eastern Siberia, Russian Federation; length 872 km/542 mi. The Yana rises in the Verkhoyansk Mountains and flows into the Laptev Sea, where it forms a delta. It freezes in October and thaws in April or May, and is navigable from Verkhoyansk.
