Yeovil

Market town in Somerset, southwest England, on the River Yeo; population (2001) 36,700. Gloves and leather goods are produced, the headquarters of Westland Aircraft is here, and other industries include engineering, electronics, the manufacture of hovercraft, and food processing.

The church of St John the Baptist is a 14th-century example of the Perpendicular Gothic style.
