Yorba Linda

Town in Orange County, southwest California; population (1990) 52,400. It is located 48 km/30 mi southeast of Los Angeles and 16 km/10 mi north-northeast of Santa Ana. It was, until the 1960s, a lightly populated community with oil wells, truck farms, and citrus and avocado groves; it is now a growing residential suburb. The birthplace and presidential library of Richard Nixon draw visitors to the town.
