Yount, George (Concepcion) (1794–1865)

US pioneer and trapper. Born in Dowden Creek, North Carolina, he trapped along the Arizona rivers before going to California with William Wolfskill (1830–31). He became a Mexican citizen in 1835 and settled in Sacramento in 1836.
