Yucaipa

Town in San Bernardino County, south California; population (1990) 32,800. It is situated on Yucaipa Creek in the south foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, 24 km/15 mi east-southeast of San Bernardino. Truck and poultry farms and apple orchards have been mainstays of this growing residential suburb. It is home to Crafton Hills College (1972).
