Zephyrhills

Town in Pasco County, west-central Florida; population (1990) 8,200. It is located 37 km/23 mi northeast of Tampa. Settled c. 1911, it was at first a home for Union Civil War veterans, producing naval stores, wood products, and citrus and other crops. Today it is part of a growing residential area.
