Zich, Otakar (1879–1934)

Czech composer. He was at first a secondary schoolmaster, but took a degree at the University of Brno and was appointed professor of aesthetics there. He also collected folk songs.

The Painter's Whim (1910), The Sin (1922), and Les Précieuses ridicules (after Molière, 1926).

Choral and vocal

The Ill-Fated Marriage and Polka Rides for chorus and orchestra; songs.
