Żywny, Wojciech (1756–1842)

Polish piano teacher and composer. He studied with Jan Kuchar and worked at the Polish court of Stanisław August during the 1780s. He later moved to Warsaw and was Frédérick Chopin's piano teacher 1816–22. His works include piano pieces, overtures, and songs.
