Being an abstractor is an unusual home based data entry jobs that is found online. Nurse abstractors were added to scrub records for missing data before it went to billers and to ensure that all of the documentation that should be captured was there. For example, EMS might have already given the patient aspirin, or they had taken it before arrival and the chart abstractor either didn't know to check that or just didn't do it. |
