Agapanthus

Genus of stout, tufted perennial plant, native to Africa, belonging to the Liliaceae family. Leaves are basal, strap-shaped, 30–50 mm wide, and bright green. Agapanthus orientalis and A. campanulatae are grown in gardens. A. praecox has blue trumpet-shaped flowers, occasionally white, about 40–45 mm long. It has naturalized in rocky places on the Isles of Scilly.
