agitprop

Soviet government bureau established in September 1920 in charge of communist agitation and propaganda. The idea was later developed by left-wing groups in the West for the use of theatre and other arts to convey political messages.

All this would just be standard Al Gore agitprop, except for one thing.
Though Agitprop originally referred to agitation and propaganda on behalf of Communism, the current sense of the word is more generally propaganda, especially socially or politically motivated propaganda, and is not restricted to communist doctrine.
