airbrush

Small fine spray-gun used by artists, graphic designers, and photographic retouchers. Driven by air pressure from a compressor or pressurized can, it can apply a thin, very even layer of ink or paint, allowing for subtle gradations of tone.

Winter's first two albums -- one stark and self-titled, the other a double vinyl affair with an airbrushed purple cover called ``Second Winter'' -- made him a top draw on the rock circuit, and he played London's Royal Albert Hall, the Woodstock Festival and other high-profile gigs.
But risking your health, maybe your life, to look like the airbrushed toothpicks in some magazines is not worth it.
