to accelerators present in latex gloves, he later developed urticaria,
flushing, and respiratory symptoms, consistent with a type I
hypersensitivity reaction to latex. There are two main types of contact dermatitis; irritant contact
dermatitis (ICD) and allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). In general, however, alcohol
handrubs cause less skin irritation and allergic contact dermatitis,
