All lumbar angular measurements were made relative to
the standing anatomical position. This condition occurs when the cervix,
along with the uterus, moves down from its normal anatomical position,
because the surrounding ligaments are unable to maintain support. Then the
surrounding ligaments which have been stretched by the joint space
opening, snap back into their proper anatomical position, making the
second sound. |
