aragonite

White, yellowish or grey mineral, calcium carbonate, CaCO3, a denser, harder polymorph (substance having the same chemical composition but different structure) of calcite.

Secreted by corals, molluscs and green algae, it is an important constituent of shallow marine muds and pearl.
