arteriography

Method of examining the interior of an artery by injecting into it a radiopaque solution, which is visible on an X-ray photograph. It is used for the arteries of the heart (coronary arteriogram), for example. The more general term covering all types of blood vessels is angiography.

Prieto-Solis et al (20) studied 66 patients with an inferior myocardial infarction who subsequently underwent coronary arteriography (RCA, n=46; circumflex artery, n = 20) and found that an ST-segment elevation of 1 mm or greater in leads [V.
Magnetic resonance arteriography and magnetic resonance venography showed that the circle of Willis was patent, as were the internal and external jugular veins bilaterally.
A coronary arteriography and an echocardiogram performed in January 1997 were normal.
