Umrao Singh experimented with double exposures and movement within the flame as well as working within unusual media including autochromes, rare in India in the early 1920s. Drawing on her years of curatorial experience, including collecting autochromes and other early experimental color work, (2) Roberts's solid picture research incorporates works from private collectors and galleries. Both now form part of the Musee Albert Kahn, where 72 000 autochromes and 183 000m of film can be accessed by the public on video. |
