axonometric projection

Three-dimensional drawing of an object, such as a building, in which the floor plan provides the basis for the visible elevations, thus creating a diagram that is true to scale but incorrect in terms of perspective. Vertical lines are projected up from the plan at the same scale; the usual angle of projection is 45°. An isometric projection is a slightly flattened variation.
