| Our basketful of honey fungus and spongey chunks of blewit underwhelms Leon, with a failure to find the prized bay boletus or ceps, though it looks like a gorgeous colour plate from a Carluccio book to me. Blewit refers to two species that are edible in the genus Clitocybe. Tiny, delicate mousserons, firm blewits, super-tasty chanterelles and the exquisitemorelmushrooms are all pushing from the leaf litter to tempt the wandering picker. |
