blue-ribbon campaign

Campaign for free speech on the Internet. It was launched to protest against various international moves towards censorship on the Internet, especially the Communications Decency Act in 1996. Participation in the campaign is indicated by the small graphic of a looped blue ribbon displayed on many sites on the World Wide Web and available from the campaign's Web site http://www.eff.org/blueribbon.html.
