| Fosrenol(R) is a non-aluminium, non calcium phosphate binder that has a very high affinity for dietary phosphate, forming lanthanum phosphate, which passes through the intestines and is eliminated from the body, leading to effective reduction in serum phosphorus levels. Approximately 70 to 80 percent of kidney stones are calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate stones. The spray drying apparatus consisted of a nozzle that sprayed an acidic calcium phosphate solution in the form of a fine mist into a stream of filtered air flowing through a heated glass column. |
