cleavers

Annual plant Galium aparine of the Rubiaceae family, found in northern temperate regions and South America. Its stems and leaves are covered with tiny hairs that help the plant to scramble through other vegetation. It has small, white flowers and bristly round fruits that cling to fur or clothing.
