chiropractic

In alternative medicine, technique of manipulation of the spine and other parts of the body, based on the principle that physical disorders are attributable to aberrations in the functioning of the nervous system, which manipulation can correct.

Developed in the 1890s by US practitioner Daniel David Palmer, chiropractic is widely practised today by accredited therapists, although orthodox medicine remains sceptical of its efficacy except for the treatment of back problems.

In reference to the article in the September/October issue of DAV Magazine on the availability of chiropractic care, I believe chiropractic care provides no benefits, is extremely expensive, and is little more than a license to steal.
Twenty-seven workers at five San Fernando Valley massage, chiropractic or aromatherapy offices were charged Wednesday with prostitution-related charges, Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo announced.
The Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association, which represents about 1,500 chiropractors in Pennsylvania, filed suit in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, alleging that Independence and its subsidiaries improperly denied needed chiropractic care to subscribers to maximize profits, the association said in a statement.
