choline

In medicine, one of the members of the vitamin B complex. The daily requirement in adults, approximately 500 mg, is present in egg yolk, liver, and meat and sufficient choline can be obtained from a normal diet. Choline can be synthesized by the body and deficiency results in a fatty liver.
