club-hand

Deformity of the hand similar to that of club-foot. The hand is permanently bent at the wrist, by contraction of the flexor muscles, or is bent backwards, by contraction of the extensor muscles. Club-hand is often associated with other deformities. The fingers of the affected hand are weak or useless. Treatment, where possible, is surgical.
