| The disease is caused by deficient or defective blood coagulation proteins, known as factor VIII or IX. Cryo is a plasma fraction containing coagulation proteins and the raw material from which OMRIX manufactures BAC, the fibrinogen component of its marketed fibrin sealants, Evicel and Quixil, and Fibrin Patch product candidate. Costs may be further decreased with tests for the functional activity of coagulation proteins rather that measurements of protein levels (antigens). |
