Cocoa

City in Brevard County, east-central Florida, USA, 64 km/40 mi east-southeast of Orlando, on the Indian River across from Merritt Island; population (2000) 16,400. In a citrus producing area, it is a tourist centre, connected by bridge and causeway to Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, and Cocoa Beach.

It is the seat of Brevard Community College (1960).
