| In computing, software designed to be used collaboratively by a group of users, each with his/her own computer and a copy of the software. Examples of groupware are Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise, both of which provide facilities for sending e-mail and sharing documents. |
| Standard business applications such as word processors are spoken of as ‘groupware-enabled’ if they provide facilities for a number of users to make revisions and incorporate them all into a final version. See also computer-supported collaborative work. |
