Wal-Mart closed the store in April 2005, just before an arbitrator was to impose a collective agreement for the 190 recently unionized employees. The only exception is a MEPP where an employer's obligation to contribute is limited to a fixed amount set out in a collective agreement and where the MEPP sets out the obligation of an employer to contribute. Planning is underway for the re-negotiation of the national NZNO/District Health Boards' Multi-Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) next year. |
