Timber that has been reformed and glued to make products that have a variety of different properties. Manufactured timber has been developed to extend the range of timber products available. Manufactured timber falls into three main categories – laminated timber, particle boards, and fibreboards.

Wood also forms the structure of the inclined glass wall, in which the panes are hung from the roof by steel cables, with horizontal wind loads being carried by short struts back to the round composite timber columns, which are tapered at each end to express bending stresses and reduce their visual impact (a very large lathe had to be specially built to make them).
Wooden joists connect the roof steels, and in other places composite timber and ply l-beams are used.
