How a company is perceived by those outside the company. A company's image is conveyed to the consumer using a variety of means. In the case of a retail store, for example, interaction with the staff, advertising, location, corporate identity, and core values will all influence consumer perception. Companies conduct market research in order to monitor their corporate image.
