Conestoga

Township in Lancaster County, southeastern Pennsylvania, USA, 11 km/7 mi south-southwest of Lancaster; population (1990) 3,500.

The town gave its name to two American artefacts: the Conestoga wagon, developed in this area during the early 18th century, and the nation's most efficient freight carrier until it was supplanted by the railroads a century later; and the stogie, a cigar made with the local leaf tobacco.
