Monona connects to smaller Lake Kegonsa, which, in turn, flows into Lake Waubesa, creating a stair-step of waterways that stretches roughly 20 miles, as the crane flies, through rural south-central Wisconsin's dairy country. There is no need to fear them - most adult crane flies can't eat or chew. However, what many people don't know is their efforts are wasted because adult crane flies cannot be sufficiently controlled by applying pesticides in late summer and fall. |
