cranesbillAny of a group of plants containing about 400 species. The plants are named after the long beaklike protrusion attached to the seed vessels. When ripe, this splits into coiling spirals which jerk the seeds out, helping to scatter them. (Genus Geranium, family Geraniaceae.) How to thank TFD for its existence?
