curioso indiscreto, Il

Opera by Pasquale Anfossi (librettist unknown), first produced at the Teatro della Dame, Rome, Italy, in February 1777. Mozart wrote two extra soprano arias for it when it was produced in Vienna, Austria, on 30 June 1783. The story tells how the Marchese Calandrino tests the fidelity of Clorinda, who falls in love with the Contino, the Marchese's friend.
