de Creeft, José (1884–1982)

Spanish-born US sculptor. He worked in Barcelona and studied in Madrid and Paris, before emigrating to New York City in 1929. He is known for carving directly into stone and for such sculptures as Alice in Wonderland (1960).

He was born in Guadalajara, Spain.
