DeeRiver which flows through Aberdeenshire, Scotland and the city of Aberdeen; length 137 km/85 mi. From its source in the Cairngorm Mountains, it flows east into the North Sea at Aberdeen (by an artificial channel in this latter stage). Near Braemar the river passes through a rock gorge, the Linn of Dee. Balmoral Castle is on its banks. It is noted for salmon fishing and is the fifth-longest river in Scotland.
DeeRiver that flows through Wales and England; length 112 km/70 mi. Rising in Bala Lake, Gwynedd, it flows into the Irish Sea west of Chester.
