du Pont, Henry Francis (1880-1969)

US businessman and museum founder. After studying at Harvard, he became a director of the family chemical business, E I du Pont de Nemours & Co., Wilmington, Delaware. He is noted for founding the Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum.

He was born in Winterthur, Delaware. The museum he founded features displays of early American decorative arts, furniture, and horticultural gardens.
