umbrella tree

Tree native to Queensland and the Northern Territory, Australia, with large shiny leaves each made up of leaflets arranged like an open hand, and small raspberrylike clusters of red flowers at the ends of branches. It is common as an indoor plant in many countries. (Schefflera actinophylla.)
