endowment insurance

A type of life insurance that may produce profits. An endowment policy will run for a fixed number of years during which it accumulates a cash value; it can provide a savings plan for a retirement fund.

Three prizes were awarded, to Enrico Biffis for his research work on new accounting standards in life insurance liabilities, to Yew Khuen Yoon for his study on modelling operational risk in financial institutions, and to Pavel Huerta Uribe for his research on endowment insurance for mutual fund investment.
This includes private pension insurance, endowment insurance, individual occupational insurance and early retirement insurance.
