erne

Sea eagle Haliaeetus albicilla, of the family Accipitridae, order Falconiformes, widely distributed over the Old World. Its diet consists chiefly of fish, but it will also eat young lambs. In general character and habit it is much like the golden eagle, Aquila chrysaetus but is smaller, has a longer beak, and fewer leg feathers. The eyrie is built on sea cliffs, and in the early spring two or three white eggs are laid.
