In mathematics, the orientation of a vector. Each vector has an equivalent vector of the opposite sense. The combined effect of two vectors of opposite sense is a zero vector.

Proprioception refers to the extraction of information regarding the position and movement of the body (ie, on the state of the individual, or the internal environment), exteroception (commonly considered perception) refers to the extraction of information regarding the state of the external world, and exproprioception refers to the extraction of information regarding the movement or position of self in relation to the external world.
