Fallopian tube

In mammals, one of two tubes that carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. An egg is fertilized by sperm in the Fallopian tubes, which are lined with cells whose cilia move the egg towards the uterus.

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants in a location other than the uterus, most commonly the fallopian tube.
A new study suggests that rabbit sperm find their way toward an unfertilized egg by heading toward higher temperatures within the animal's fallopian tubes.
